Roller-skating was definitely an evening for the books! For many of our students this was their first-time roller-skating. As we arrived at the skating rink many students were not interested in skating. Then, within a few minutes, students began to encourage one another. With each other’s support, many students began to put on their roller skates and started to skate. By the end of the night everyone talked about how glad they were to try this new activity and all the fun they had. Many students did not want to leave the rink and requested that TRIO Upward Bound continue to do this every year!
