On Wednesday, November 29th the NHS students braved the cold to go rake up leaves as part of Rake Up Nampa. When we left the classroom during 2nd period, it was a balmy 20 degrees. Each group quickly worked so we could fill up a bag of leaves and then walk back to the classroom to warm up with hot chocolate, apple cider, and some snacks. Thankfully, it warmed up to 30 degrees by 4th period so we were able to get all the final leaves in the bags where they belong and not on the ground of the elderly woman’s house. The Nampa students had a great attitude throughout the event and we proved yet again that, “We do hard things.”
