The Master of Arts in Education, Curriculum and Instruction focuses on developing mission-driven educators who design purposeful curriculum that fosters deep student understanding and transfer of learning. Practicing educators learn to use authentic performance tasks and how to make effective use of assessment and research to continually improve student learning and refine their teaching practice.

The application deadline for this program is April 15 of each calendar year

Applicants are required to have earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or a degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education that is judged equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree by the International Admissions office.  A prospective student may apply at any time and should follow the general graduate application procedure for degree-seeking students. Admission to the program is based on:

  1. Official transcripts from all colleges attended.
  2. An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 based on a 4-point scale, computed for all undergraduate credits from the applicant’s most recent baccalaureate degree.
  3. A one to two-page letter of application detailing the applicant’s motivation for pursuing a graduate degree in education, their academic goals for their graduate studies, and their professional goals.
  4. Two letters of recommendation.
