Boise State Earns CAEP Accreditation in Initial and Advanced Programs
In October 2023, the College of Education at Boise State University was granted accreditation through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) at the initial-licensure level and the advanced level until December 2030.
Boise State’s educator preparation programs received the 2024 Frank Murray Leadership Recognition Award at CAEP’s annual conference. The award recognizes teacher preparation programs across the country that achieve accreditation with no stipulations or areas of improvement.

Boise State received their first CAEP accreditation for initial preparation programs as an early adopter for a seven-year term from October 2016 to December 2023. At the time, Boise State was one of the first 17 educator preparations to meet these new standards.
