[Karen Nicholas, Boise State Faculty]: In this course, the majority of the assignments will take two weeks to complete. The first week you’ll be making a plan, then during the week you’ll be following the plan and then the second week you’ll write a reflection on how it went. For example, this week I’m asking you to make a plan regarding looking for innovation opportunities. So think about how you will make yourself aware of potential innovations. Don’t start on it yet until after you’ve submitted the plan. So make a plan that lists the tasks or activities that you will do during the week and why you think these specific tasks will help your goal. During the week, you’ll follow your plan and then next week you’ll reflect on how it went. Each week, you’ll have a new plan followed by a reflection. If you can, take some time with your plan. Just simply to think about what you might want to do during the week. The better the plan, the better the outcome. If you’re getting stressed right about now about the volume of work, don’t. That’s not the goal. The plan is maximum one page, double-spaced, bullets appreciated. The reflection is the same length, though full sentence are typically better to get your thoughts across. Sound good? Make sure to read the specifics regarding each assignment as this is just an overview. Remember you can always email me for clarification. I look forward to reading your plans, your reflections and working with you
