What We Do
Our Online Education Innovation Lab supports faculty and staff in enhancing the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of their online learning. We provide a space for all of us to come together to build community, conduct research, evaluate online teaching practices, and support the adoption of technologies.
We have several opportunities for faculty and staff to get involved with the Innovation Lab. Scroll down the page to learn more!
Innovation Playgrounds
Our Innovation Playgrounds are a series of live webinars held throughout the semester, where you can quickly learn about a current topic in online education. Each webinar will last roughly 50 minutes over Zoom, and you’ll have the opportunity to interact with your peers. Visit our Innovation Playgrounds page to learn more about upcoming sessions and to register.
Communities of Practice
Our Communities of Practice provide an opportunity for faculty and staff to explore a topic in-depth over a semester. Participants will meet every other week for an hour to discuss a topic and learn from each other’s knowledge and experiences. Visit our Communities of Practice page to find out more about which topics will be explored in Fall 2024 and to register.
Our Mission
The Innovation Lab supports faculty in exploring new frontiers in online education, facilitating STEM education, lab experiences, experiential learning, and other areas that present challenges in online courses and programs. Learn more about how we can support you in your teaching!
