Both Aman KC and Abby Axness received competitive student awards from GSA Quaternary Geology and Geomorphology division at the 2023 meeting!
Aman received the Howard Award (awarded to one outstanding MS proposal) for his work “Bridging Science to Public: Analyzing Freshwater Flux in Kalallit Nunnaat Greenland”.
Abby (MS in 2022 from Boise, now PhD at CSU) received the Coates Award to support a promising geomorphology student from a diverse backgrounds for her work, “Uncovering the drivers of mountain relief in the granodiorite and volcanoclastic bedrock of Puerto Rico.”
