Geosciences Graduate Organization (GGO) has many events planned for this spring semester. Outreach events are a great opportunity to practice communication, get kids excited about science, and participation looks great on resumes. There is a list of upcoming events:
- 1/30 – Horizon STEAM Night
- 2/6 – Hunter STEM Night
- 2/19 – Valley View STEM Night
- 2/20 – Roosevelt STEM Night
- 2/22 – Engineering and Science Festival
- 2/26 – Hillsdale STEM Night
- 2/27 – Highlands STEM Night
- 3/12 – Owyhee STEM Night
- 3/13 – Mary McPherson STEM Night
- 4/10 – Adams STEM Night
- 4/11 – HomeEd 360 Field Trip to ERB
- 4/23 – Cynthia Mann STEM Night
Here are some events that GGO particularly need volunteers for:
- 01/30: Horizon Elementary STEAM Night: Elementary school science nights are always so much fun – the kids are always so excited to learn.
- 02/22: BSU Engineering and Science Festival: Many volunteers are needed for this, and it’s always a blast! There will be several stations set up in the ERB, with hundreds of local students and families visiting.
- 03/13: Mary McPherson Elementary STEM Night
