Geology masters student, Andrea Wolfowicz, has been recognized by the Geological Society of America for her research proposal: “Determining Temperatures of Quartz Deformation from Amphibolite Facies to the Brittle Ductile Transition.” It was deemed one of twenty of the thousands submitted, and she will be presented an award for her proposal at the Annual Meeting of the GSA in Minneapolis in October. Andrea is starting her second year as a graduate student studying under Drs. Matt Kohn and CJ Northrup.
