Kara Ferguson, a senior Geosciences major, has been selected to receive an Outstanding Student Paper award from the American Geophysical Union (AGU) for her presentation last fall of her research paper titled:
The AGU is possibly the world’s largest professional organization (60,000 members, 148 countries) for the earth sciences. At the annual meeting in December where Kara presented her paper, there were over 16000 attendees, and likely almost as many papers presented. It is a huge honor for any student to get this recognition, much less an undergraduate. Congratulations, Kara!
