WHAT ARE WEEKLY MEAL PLANS?
Weekly meal plans offer maximum variety, flexibility, and peace of mind knowing meal swipes are refreshed weekly.
- Weekly meal plans apply to the semester of purchase. Each week a set number of swipes are loaded Monday morning and expire Sunday night.
- Each weekly plan includes Dining Dollars and guest meals for maximum flexibility and value.
- Dining Dollars can be used at all food venues.
- Guest meals allow the meal plan participant to have a block of meals available to use as needed.
WHAT ARE COMMUTER MEAL PLANS?
Whether you plan to dine with us once a week or every day, you can select a plan to suit your schedule and dining needs.
- Commuter meal plans are activated at the time of purchase and expire one year from the date of purchase.
- Most plans come with Dining Dollars that can be used at participating locations and vending machines.
WHAT ARE DINING DOLLARS ONLY PLANS?
Like cash, but better! Dining dollar plans are pre-paid funds loaded to your Bronco Card, like a gift card, and offer bonus value with each purchase.
- Dining Dollar plans are loaded on your Bronco Card at the time of purchase and expire one year from purchase.
- Dining Dollars offer cashless flexibility for your dining habits and are accepted at all campus dining locations and can be used online through our food order mobile app, Boost.
WHY IS MY MEAL PLAN NOT AVAILABLE ON BRONCOCARD.BOISESTATE.EDU?
First-year students who live on campus and any students who live in first-year designated university housing are required to have a meal plan. The Trailblazer plan will be billed to student accounts automatically.
- It can take up to two business days before the Trailblazer is loaded onto your account if you have received a housing assignment after the first week of June.
- If you still do not see the plan added to your account, please get in touch with boisestatedining@boisestate.edu
- Students can change their meal plans through the first 10 days of classes.
- Students will be able to change their meal plan or view their account AFTER they have registered and enrolled.
All other students, faculty, and staff may purchase a fall weekly meal plan by September 1st or spring weekly meal plan by January 19 by visiting the online store.
WHEN DO MEAL PLANS ACTIVATE?
Weekly Meal Plans including Dining Dollars and Guest Meals will all activate on the first day of move-in for housing.
All other Commuter and Dining Dollars Only plans will activate at the time of purchase.
WHY DO I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE MY WEEKLY MEAL PLAN?

HOW DO WEEKLY MEAL PLAN DINING DOLLARS WORK?
Weekly Meal Plan Dining Dollars are loaded to your Bronco Card and can be used starting at 10 a.m. on the first day of move-in.
- Unused Weekly Meal Plan Dining Dollars will carry over from fall to spring, expiring at the end of the spring semester as long as you remain in your housing contract.
- Dining dollars can be used during breaks when the dining halls are closed.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN MY DINING DOLLARS GET LOW?
You can reload your Dining Dollars at any time. Keep in mind Dining Dollars are available during fall or spring break when the dining halls are closed. Save up if you plan on being here during semester breaks.
Dining Dollar Only Plans may be purchased via the online Boise State Dining store at any time.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE BOISE STATE?
Any remaining meal swipes or Dining Dollars will be forfeited.
WHAT IF I HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY OR SPECIAL DIET?
We can help with that.
- If you’re avoiding gluten or the major allergens, look to Buster’s Kitchen for the Delicious Without station. Food is prepared with dedicated serving and cooking utensils. All the food at the Delicious Without station is prepared without dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, sesame, or soybean.
- We also offer vegan/vegetarian options at both Buster’s Kitchen and SouthFork dining halls.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY WEEKLY MEAL PLAN BILLED TO MY STUDENT ACCOUNT?
Same place you pay for housing and tuition, your student account via Campus Solutions Student Center.
WHEN WILL I SEE CHARGES POSTED TO MY STUDENT ACCOUNT?
Meal plan charges will be posted to the student account for payment initially upon housing assignment or by the first week of July, along with your housing charges. Any meal plan credits/refunds for any plan changes or cancellations will be posted to your student account within two business days.
