BOISE, Idaho – Boise State University is launching BRONCO SHIELD, a new CyberCorps for Service (SFS) program scholarship. This scholarship is dedicated to those passionate about cybersecurity and intrigued by the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing cybersecurity measures, such as predicting and identifying threats, automating responses to incidents and enhancing the overall security posture.
The BRONCO SHIELD CyberCorps Scholarship program aligns with Boise State’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity education and fostering the development of skilled professionals who contribute to the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity.
This program includes complete tuition coverage, financial support for health insurance and an additional allowance of $6,000 for professional development. Furthermore, undergraduate students will receive an annual $27,000 and graduate students will receive a $37,000 stipend. In receiving this scholarship, one gains hands-on experience through projects and internships, professional growth opportunities, workshops and seminars, and assistance in gaining demanded certifications in the cybersecurity industry that improve student competitiveness in the job market.
