The CTL Learning Lounge (ILC 315) functions as the CTL’s main learning and presentation center for educators. It received a makeover during summer 2024. The remodeled space includes state-of-the-art presentation technology, including two large wall-mounted monitors for split presentations and hybrid meetings, wireless presentation capability, a built-in PC, and microphones for both speakers and participants. The room also offers a book nook for educators looking for resources on teaching. Please scroll down on this page to see photos of the space.
This unique space is intended to be a learning space for educators (faculty of all ranks and graduate teaching assistants). It is available for external reservations if the topic of the meeting concerns the education and professional development of educators as described in the CTL mission statement. The room includes a “book nook” for educators complete with a sitting lounge and a small library of books on pedagogy and teaching practices. Educators should feel free to drop in and use the book nook when no programs are taking place in the Learning Lounge.
If you would like to reserve the Learning Lounge, please check for availability for the dates(s) and time(s) on the Learning Lounge calendar displayed on this web page. Then, please fill out the Learning Lounge external reservation request form. Your request will be reviewed, and you will be notified of the decision. The room is available for external reservations Monday through Friday, 9am – 4pm excluding academic breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring) and summer semester.
If your meeting is not intended for the education of educators, then the ILC provides plenty of GA classrooms available for meetings and events. The GA classrooms are managed by the Registrar’s Office and can be reserved through the classroom reservation request form.
If you have an idea for a workshop for educators or would like to host a workshop for educators, please email the CTL. We would love to hear your ideas!
