Faculty Development Team Publishes on Pandemic Professional Development

Teresa Focarile (CTL), Sarah Lausch (CTL), Meagan Haynes (Program Evaluation and Research Lab), Brittnee Earl (CTL), Susan Shadle (Provost Office), and Lisa Berry (eCampus) recently had an article published in To Improve the Academy: A Journal of Educational Development.

The article, titled “They came, they engaged, they changed: Evidence of impact of intensive pandemic professional development”, examines the impact of an intensive professional development program developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study found a positive correlation between educational development initiatives and improvements in faculty’s use of evidence-based instructional practices. The research highlights that faculty who participated in more intensive programs showed greater improvement.
