Meet the Service-Learning Team

The Service-Learning team stands in front of Riverfront Hall. From left to right: Kara Brascia, Casey McGee, and Erin Rausch.

The CTL has two teams of staff who directly support faculty: Educational Development and Service-Learning. This month we are highlighting the work of the Service-Learning Team.

The Service-Learning (SL) Team supports educators in using high-impact experiential learning practices in which students apply course concepts to a community need, offering hands-on experiences with real community organizations. The SL team provides personalized consultations, faculty development events and toolkits, community partner connections, in-class support, and recognition events. Contact us to explore how to integrate community engagement into your course, receive guidance on the next steps, or gain recognition for your existing community-engaged course. Our team members are:

  • Kara Brascia (Director of Service-Learning)
  • Erin Rauch (Educational Development Consultant)
  • Casey McGee (Education Development Specialist focused on community partnerships)
  • Two graduate students and a small team of student leaders
