Do you find it difficult to prioritize your writing? Are you looking for a community of fellow faculty and staff to provide mutual support?
There’s still time to finish some projects by the end of 2021—and the CTL will host virtual “writing cafés” almost every Friday in November and December to support you as a writer.
Here’s how it works:
- Show up anytime during the 90-minute sessions and stay as long as you wish. These are informal sessions meant to provide you a sense of community with your peers.
- If you arrive at the beginning of the session, you’ll have an opportunity to share your goal for the session with others—and if you’re around at the end, we’ll celebrate our progress.
- We’ll always have two hosts: one in the main room to welcome you, and one in a break-out room for consultations.
- You are welcome to bring nascent ideas/projects for consultation with CTL staff on how to develop them. CTL staff with expertise in research and writing can answer questions about seeking IRB approval, identifying data collection instruments, or finding an appropriate venue for your work—and we will point you to the experts on campus who can provide next-level support.
- Please visit the CTL events page to sign up for sessions.
Dates: Fridays, November 5 to December 17, 2021, excluding November 26.
Time: 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
