RNS Phase I
Resilience and sustainability are incredibly broad, multifaceted topics. No single institution, including universities, can address every facet of these complex topics. During Phase I of this initiative (May – December 2022), a group of faculty from across campus convened and explore Boise State’s strengths with respect to resilience and sustainability research. How can we enhance and elevate these strengths through better connections across disciplines and with community partners? What are our opportunities to establish new lines of inquiry beyond what we already do well? What barriers could be addressed through financial support or policy change to enable a more inclusive, multidisciplinary research ecosystem?
Four teams worked on the the RNS Grand Challenge Phase I.
- Leadership Team
- Asset Mapping Team maps the sustainability and resilience landscape at Boise State.
- Benchmarking Team conducts external exploration of best practices and analyzes lessons learned.
- Community Engagement Team identifies and implements community engagement efforts to ensure multiple perspectives are considered.
