Jessica Markley Receives Prestigious Academic Advisor Award at Regional Conference

Jessica Markley, Academic Student Success Coordinator for the Boise State Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP), received the Region 8 Excellence in Advising – New Advisor award at the NACADA Region 8 and Region 9 Conference on March 18, 2025.

The annual NACADA conference invites higher education academic advisors from eight western U.S. states, Canada, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. The 3-day conference includes workshop sessions, network opportunities, keynote speakers and an awards ceremony.

Markley was nominated by Boise State Concurrent Enrollment staff and supported by counselors of Owyhee and Parma High Schools.

“I am truly honored to have received the NACADA region eight new advisor of the year award; however, this is not just my award,” Markley said. “This recognition is a testament to the collaborative effort of our Concurrent Enrollment team who work diligently to provide quality Concurrent Enrollment opportunities and effective advising, collectively aiming to support and empower students to reach their goals.”
