To make a determination as to whether or not a University or Non-University Program involving Minors must abide by the full requirements of University Policy 12060: Protection of Minors (“Policy 12060”), please use the chart below as a helpful guide. Note that it is not within the discretion of a Program administrator to determine whether a Program must comply with the full requirements of the policy. Please contact the Office of Institutional Compliance and Ethics with specific questions.

*Abiding by mandatory reporting and all other applicable federal, state and local laws, as well as University policies, applies even if a Program does not have to comply with the full requirements of Policy 12060.
