About Us
Institutional Compliance and Ethics coordinates with compliance officers across campus to identify and fulfill legal and policy responsibilities in a way that promotes ethical conduct. Ultimately, Boise State University’s success in maintaining compliance depends on the individual commitment of all employees to operate with integrity in support of the university’s mission.
Responsibilities
To help meet University goals and state and Federal requirements, the Office of Institutional Compliance and Ethics exists to:
- Enhance employee due diligence to proactively detect, report, and respond to actual or perceived violations of law or policy and manage the University’s Compliance Reporting Hotline.
- Enhance the coordination, efficiency, and effectiveness of compliance activities.
- Optimize compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assess risks and measure adherence to compliance requirements.
- Mitigate risks of non-compliance including monetary fines, reputational risk, and loss of public trust.
- Promoting a culture of accountability, integrity, and adherence to the University’s Standards of Conduct.
