We are excited to invite our graduates and their families to an open house on The Blue, Friday, December 13 from 3-5 p.m. Enjoy music and an opportunity to take memorable graduation photos in your regalia on The Blue.

Sponsored by the Boise State Alumni Association this event offers an opportunity to toast to the winter commencement graduates and Class of 2024 and most importantly, welcome our graduates to the Boise State Alumni Association. This event is for graduates only to celebrate amongst your peers as well as visit your home in the Alumni and Friends Building. Champagne is complimentary, registration is required. Graduating Student Leaders Celebration

Sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and the Student Involvement and Leadership Center, this event recognizes students who have developed as leaders through their involvement at Boise State and have shown a positive impact on the campus community.
Students must be nominated by a staff or faculty member in order to be eligible for recognition. Nominated students will be sent an email asking them to apply by Sunday, November 24, 2024.
First-Generation Graduation Celebration
First-Generation Graduation Celebration

This celebration honors the accomplishments of students who are the first members of their families to graduate from college. If your parent(s) and/or guardian(s) do not have a bachelor’s degree, you are considered to be first-generation regardless of whether a sibling graduated first. Students can recognize those who supported them during their collegiate journey by asking them to present their first-generation cord onstage.
Free parking and refreshments will be provided. Cords are provided free of charge to graduates.

This Hooding ceremony is hosted by the School of Social Work specifically for our Online Social Work Students. This ceremony is different from Boise State University Commencement.

Unity Celebration

A recognition of Boise State graduates from Black, African, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, Indigenous and Middle Eastern Northern African communities as they finish their degrees. This event is a cultural and academic celebration that presents each graduate with a stole to wear at the Boise State Commencement Ceremony. The event includes partnership with the MLK Living Legacy Committee, Alumni Association and the Office of the Provost to ensure a connection to the campus and engagement with academics and alumni.
Free parking and refreshments will be provided. Stoles are provided free of charge to graduates and you must attend the ceremony to receive a stole.

Veteran Cord Ceremony

This celebration honors the accomplishments of veteran graduates from Boise State. Veteran graduates along with their families and friends are invited to the ceremony. Cords are provided free of charge to graduates.
Veteran graduates unable to attend are eligible to pick up a cord directly from the Veteran Services Center.
