ECE Seminar Features Karl Sun, Co-Founder and CEO of LucidChart

We’re excited to host Karl Sun, co-founder and CEO at Lucidchart for this week’s seminar. The ECE Department is joining forces with the College of Innovation and Design to host a special lunch and learn opportunity after the talk.

About our Speaker

Karl Sun is cofounder of Lucid, a Salt Lake-based software company and maker of LucidChart. He served as CEO of Lucid for over 10 years and recently stepped down as CEO to serve as Chairman of the Board. Before Lucid, Karl spent several years at Google, starting and leading business development at Google’s China office, opening Google’s patent department and setting patent strategy, and leading Google’s investments in advanced wind and battery technologies. Karl holds a B.S. and M.S. in EECS from MIT, an M.S. from MIT in Technology and Policy, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He was also honored as a 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year.

About our Program

The ECE Seminar is designed to engage students in their discipline. Although many topics are specific to electrical and computer engineering, all campus community members are welcome to attend.
