We’re hosting special guest Dr. Mark Shaw, AI and Scan Solutions Digital Ecosystem Strategist for the Print Software organization at HP. In this talk, Shaw will discuss the journey from hardware-driven technology to cloud-based solutions.
Dr. Shaw earned his PhD from Purdue and a Masters in Color Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. He has worked for HP for over 21 years, focusing on solving customer and business problems using innovative technologies such as computer vision, image processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). During his spare time, Shaw is the lead programming Mentor of the FRC Robotics team 2122 (Team Tators) and teaches a class on Image Processing (ECE 457/557 ) at Boise State as an Adjunct Professor.

The ECE Seminar is designed to engage students in their discipline. Although many topics are specific to electrical and computer engineering, all campus community members are welcome to attend.
