Undergraduate Programs
In this position, the successful applicant would work directly with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to coordinate and manage COEN undergraduate programs. Activities would include leading and managing undergraduate-related academic committees as well as developing processes for managing activities such as undergraduate awards and transfer pathways. This leadership role will offer opportunities to interact broadly with other undergraduate education leaders across COEN and the university to better understand the undergraduate academic systems at BSU. The role will include learning and interacting with systems and processes for managing undergraduate academic affairs at the COEN and university levels. The successful applicant will have opportunities to develop into an effective and impactful academic leader through experience, mentorship, and professional development. - Construct and present a vision for an Undergraduate Affairs organization within COEN to the Executive Leadership Committee (EXCO)

Graduate Programs
In this position, the successful applicant would work directly with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to coordinate and manage COEN graduate programs. Activities would include leading and managing graduate related academic committees as well as developing processes for managing activities such as graduate awards, recruiting, managing assistantships and coordination between programs. This leadership role will offer opportunities to interact broadly with other graduate education leaders across COEN and the university to better understand the graduate academic systems at BSU. The role will include learning and interacting with systems and processes for managing graduate academic affairs at the COEN and university levels. The successful applicant will have opportunities to develop into an effective and impactful academic leader through experience, mentorship, and professional development. Micron Student Success Center
Experiential Learning and Career Discovery
In this position, the successful applicant would work directly with the Director of the Micron Student Success Center (MSSC) and the MSSC Career Coach to develop and implement a strategic plan that embeds a COEN first-year experience into core first-year courses tying them to career opportunities and pathways. This leader would also help centralize departmental seminar dissemination and coordination as fostering pathway-finding for students.
Deliverables
- What are the on-ramps for students across different majors to learn about career
possibilities and impact areas? - Connect ambassadors to their departmental areas of impact and opportunities for
experiential learning - Work with MSSC Career Coach to identify and categorize the various experiential
learning opportunities COEN students should/can engage in at various points
throughout their academic career
Student Club Mentorship and Support Strategies
In this position, the successful applicant would work directly with the Director of the Micron Student Success Center and the COEN Club Committee to develop and implement strategies and processes to incentivize active faculty mentorship for student club and professional organizations. Student clubs and organizations are an important activity for student engagement leading toward student success. This leadership role involves faculty, student, and staff input; as such, the activities will include meeting with clubs, benchmarking other schools’ successful industry and club programs, and interacting with COEN leadership. The strategy and process should include elements that supports students and is implemented into the workload and with a structure to incentivize faculty members.
