Casey Kennington has been busy talking about large language models (LLMs) to educators, administrators, lawyers, and even took part in a panel on a local news channel.
One area of research that has been positively impacted by LLMs is robotics. LLMs are being used for robot planning, control, and even showing emotion. Below is a recording of a talk he gave to the Cognitive Informatics Seminar on robots and LLMS.
He also traveled to Boulder, CO to attend the TAHRI conference and participate on panels and give talks at workshops about robots and LLMs. He gave a keynote talk at the workshop “Scarecrows in Oz: LLMs in Human-Robot Interaction” which was part of the Human-Robot Interaction conference.
In June, he spoke at the “NLG in the Lowlands” workshop in Bielefeld Germany, where much about language generation was discussed, including how LLMs are being used for robots.
