Andrew Rafla and Aprajita Shukla successfully defended their respective master’s project and thesis.
Andrew worked on incrementalizing RASA NLU, which we reported about in an arXiv paper. The code is freely available.
Aprajita’s thesis applied incremental processing to a chatbot so it could produce visualizations that allowed it to ground conversationally with users, resulting in self-annotated data to further improve the chatbot.
Nice work both of you! Aprajita is continuing her education at Boise State University working on an NSF-funded project.
