Dr. Amanda Stent works on text analytics and discourse processing as NLP architect at Bloomberg LP. Among other things, she gave an invited talk about her recent research Multilingual named entity recognition for text analytics at the Venture College at Boise State University. The talk was well-attended by students, faculty, and members of the community. We want to thank Dr. Stent for visiting the Computer Science Department at Boise State and for taking the time to tell us about her research.
