Academic Support for COEN Students
Our goal is to help students enhance their study skills and knowledge of critical coursework. We’ve identified academic resources available for courses that most of our COEN students take.

Learning Assistants
Learning Assistants (LAs) are peers who provide academic support for students in traditionally difficult courses and help students experience a higher rate of success and overall better grades.
Critical courses taken by COEN students that are supported by LAs:
- Calculus I
- Calculus II
- Calculus III
- Differential Equations
- Engineering Statics
- Physics with Calculus I
- Physics with Calculus II
- Computer Science 121
- Computer Science 221
Academic Coaching Support
Peer Academic Consultants (PACs) are peer coaches who provide one-on-one consultations that focus on developing successful academic skills and habits. Consultations topics include:
- Time management
- Study skills and test preparation
- Note taking and reading strategies
- Academic goal-setting
- Organizing your college life
Computer Science Academic Support
Learn about academic support for Computer Science students through the Computer Science Learning Assistant Calendar or the Kount Tutoring Center.
Math Tutoring
The Math Learning Center coordinates MATH courses numbered 103, 133, 143, 144, 149, and tutoring for these courses plus 123, 160, 170, and 175.
