ME470 Finite Element Methods (3-0-3)(F/S). Theoretical formulation of two and three-dimensional linear nite elements, algorithm development for nite element solvers, simulation using commercial software, problem solving for two and three-dimensional stress analysis, introduction to nonlinear nite element methods. PREREQ: ME273 (or ME271), ME301 (or ME350).
