Below is a list of policies and forms that may be useful as you make your way through the Mechanical Engineering graduate program:
- Master’s Thesis Policy (MS) – use this document to guide you as you prepare for your Thesis Proposal and Defense.
- Thesis Proposal Approval Form – use this document to indicate that you successfully passed your Thesis Proposal.
- Project-Based Culminating Activity Policy (MEng) – if you’re a Master of Engineering student (MEng), use this document if you decide to complete a project-based culminating activity instead of a standard exam-based culminating activity.
- Appointment of Supervisory Committee – use this form to officially list the chair and members of the committee that provide guidance for your graduate program
- Application for Admission to Candidacy – use this form to create a detailed plan of study listing the courses required for the degree or certificate
- Request for Adjustment of Academic Requirements – students and advisors use this form to change the list of courses required for completion of the degree approved on the Application to Candidacy
- Defense Notification – use this online form to notify the Graduate College that a graduate defense has been scheduled and provide details of the presentation for public announcement
- Defense Committee Approval – use this template to prepare the approval page to take to their defense. Requires all committee members’ signatures immediately following a successful defense and is then submitted to the Graduate College
- Final Reading Approval – uses this template to prepare the approval page to submit to the chair once all changes requested by the committee are made. Requires the chair’s signature and is then submitted to the Graduate College
