Michael Castro

Mikey was born in San Diego, CA but has planted roots here in Idaho since he was 4 years old. After graduating from Meridian High School, Mikey chose to double major at Boise State University (Marketing and General Business). In addition to his Business Operations Coordinator role with our department, he’s a Recruiting Strategist with a local 3rd party recruiting agency called Route Networking Group. Prior to RNG, Mikey was involved in the local dance community for over a decade. Through this time, Mikey was able to create and organize 3 different dance events in the Treasure Valley with the goal to unite the small dance community that resides in Boise, ID. These remarkable events not only served as a catalyst for unifying an entire community but also achieved remarkable feats by raising funds and awareness for multiple charities, including the Children’s Miracle Network, American Cancer Society, Shoes That Fit, and Soles 4 Souls. His professional experiences complimented with teaching dance for over the last 10 years has really helped foster his passion for empowering other people. Furthermore, Mikey enjoys snowboarding, golfing, playing video games, and spending time with his Shih Tzu named Bear.
