Lakeview Park Redevelopment
Lakeview Park is one of the oldest parks within the City of Nampa and with recent population growth the park was in need of a facelift to meet current and future needs of park users. DMS Engineers, Inc. proposes a redesign to include the following: rerouting 16th Avenue to ensure a safer experience for park users, a 6.5 acre pond with adjacent beach area to allow for activities such as swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding, a new amphitheater, several new restroom buildings, a new sports field, a new playground structure, a covered picnic area, a sound barrier along the busy Garrity Blvd. that serves as a winter sled hill, and lastly a brand new convention center. With this redesign DMS hopes that the park will provide users with a space to enjoy new recreational activities while keeping the natural and relaxing environment the park is known for.
