Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Boise State College of Engineering graduates –
Celebrate your upcoming engineering graduation at the Order of the Engineer Induction to be held in conjunction with the Pledge of Computing Professional Ceremony on Thursday, November 3rd from 5:30-6:30 pm in MCMR 205! Dr. Nick Hudyma, Professor, Civil Engineering Department and Dr. Eric Jankowski, Assistant Professor of the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering will emcee the event.
The Order of the Engineer was initiated in the United States to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present to the public a visible symbol identifying the engineer through a ring worn by all members on the 5th finger of their working hand. The Order is not a membership organization; there are never any meetings to attend or dues to pay. Instead, the Order fosters a unity of purpose and honoring one’s lifelong pledge as an engineer. - Senior undergraduate engineering major (within one academic year of graduation)
- Graduate Student in EAC, or ABET-accredited program
- Engineering major that graduated from an EAC, or ABET program – Licensed professional engineer
There is no cost to you to participate. The Boise State College of Engineering is covering the cost of your Order of the Engineer ring, certificate, and pocket card. To participate you must register here no later than Tuesday, October 25th, and stop by RUCH 101 to see Lynn Olson or Nicole Regent to determine the ring size of the 5th finger of your working hand.
