For the fall semester, Dr. Scott Phillips has invited individuals from local employers and national companies to speak. There will be no required homework or exams – you get exactly what you put into this 1 credit P/F course. Hybrid format allows for flexible attendance
Speakers representing the following companies (and others) are planned:
- Nike
- 3M
- Avery Dennison (pressure-sensitive adhesives and labels)
- Akita Innovations (a contract research firm)
- Food Physics (pulsed electric field for food processing)
- SGW Designworks (a rapid prototyping firm)
- Lone Cone/Ridgeline Insights (will give a presentation on startups and entrepreneurship)
- Azek (sustainable plastics company coming to the Treasure Valley)
- PPG (paints)
- Gore (as in Gore-Tex)
- Slant 3D (a production 3D printing company)
