Dr. Clare Fitzpatrick and Dr. Erin Mannen worked with biomechanics groups from Washington University in St. Louis to make 2 biomechanics-related short videos for National Biomechanics Day this month.
Dr. Mannen used video footage from the Introduction to Biomechanics class with student interviews for a video on running and Dr. Fitzpatrick supplied computational modeling footage from the Computational Biosciences Laboratory for the hip and knee video. They worked with a biomechanics student to distribute the videos to the Idaho Girl Scout groups as part of their STEM month programming.
Biomechanics + hands-on learning + outreach… a terrific combination! :)
