A cold temperature probe station (4.2 K to 400 K operation) capable of DC to 40 GHz operation with a magnetic field from 0 to 5500 G, and optical excitation from 190 nm to 1000 nm. This instrument provides the capability of exploring magnetic materials, and devices made using materials with unpaired electrons (novel spintronic materials). As with the previous cryogenic system, this system is suitable for manual or automated measurements and can be externally synchronized with precision test instrumentation.
