In 1997, an assistant professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering named Susan Burkett was the first faculty member at Boise State to earn the prestigious NSF Career Award. Over the next decade, four ECE faculty members were among the first seven faculty on campus to earn the CAREER award. A testament to our culture of scholarship, six ECE faculty have earned this honor to date with Dr. Benjamin Johnson being the most recent recipient.
