Cantley Named PI on NSF UPWARDS Award

ECE Associate Professor Kurtis Cantley is part of a prestigious international team formed by an NSF partnership between US and Japanese universities. The University Partnership for Workforce Advancement and Research & Development in Semiconductors (UPWARDS) is aimed at developing a stronger and more skilled semiconductor workforce for both countries. It will drive cutting-edge research and increase the number of students studying a semiconductor curriculum. Named as PI for Boise State, Cantley will receive over $300K per year through 2028 for faculty and student exchange programs in semiconductors with Japanese universities.
