Important Deadlines for Grad Students

Past Due

If you’re planning to graduate in December 2021, these items are past due:

Application for Admission to Candidacy – Submit to the Graduate College as soon as possible.
Application for Graduation – Students apply for graduation on myBoiseState. Late applications will be accepted but a late fee will be assessed.

The last day to add graduate assessment (master’s preliminary examination, doctoral preliminary examination, thesis proposal, dissertation proposal, master’s comprehensive examination, doctoral comprehensive examination), directed research, independent study, internship/practicum, or reading and conference.

Merit-based Graduate Gem Scholarship Application final deadline for awards to start Spring 2022.

Recommended last day for final oral dissertation, thesis, or project defense for graduate degrees to be awarded in December 2021.

Last day to submit an advisor-approved version of dissertation or thesis with signed Final Reading Approval, Access Agreement for a Thesis or Dissertation or Embargo Request for a Thesis or Dissertation, and Thesis/Dissertation Checklist to the Graduate College for graduate degrees to be awarded in December 2021.
Last day for students who received a thesis or dissertation enrollment waiver to submit the final version of thesis or dissertation to the Graduate College.

Last day for programs to submit Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) forms for Spring 2022.

The last day to submit the final version of your dissertation or thesis to the Graduate College for graduate degrees to be awarded in December 2021.

Last day to submit an advisor-approved copy of thesis or dissertation, along with signed Final Reading Approval, Access Agreement for a Thesis or Dissertation or Embargo Request for a Thesis or Dissertation, and Thesis/Dissertation Checklist forms, to the Graduate College to receive a thesis or dissertation enrollment waiver for the subsequent semester.
