US Navy veteran and Boise State electrical engineering major Joshua Hatch was recently awarded the College of Engineering Scholarship.
Hatch is pursuing a bachelor of science in electrical engineering along with a minor in mathematics and teaching certifications in secondary education. After he graduates, Hatch is thinking of working in industry, specializing in power machinery. After some point in his career, Hatch says he’d like to share his experience with the younger generations as a high school teacher.
This scholarship provides some much-needed relief to a busy couple in a tough economic climate. “My wife and I would like to thank the donors from the bottom of our hearts. I’m a veteran adjusting to life after the military and my wife is a medical student. We’re living on loans and the GI bill. This scholarship has given us some peace of mind as we work towards finishing school.”
