
Dr. Nirmala Kandadai, assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is part of a team selected by the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office for 2020 (SETO 2020) funding. The team was awarded $260,000 for a year in order to investigate a novel method to increase the thermal conductivity in heat exchangers, and hopefully improve the performance of concentrating solar power (CSP) plants.
