Grants and Awards

The CS department has many faculty members that are active in research, Grant awards received as PI or Co-PI have averaged around $5.3M per year over the last three years while research expenditures have averaged around $2.5M per year over the last three years (2021-2024),

Six of the faculty have received NSF CAREER awards in the last six years. The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation’s most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.

These grant awards provide opportunities for students to engage with faculty on these recognized topics and participate directly in their research.
