About Catherine Olschanowsky

Bio

Dr. Catherine (Cathie) Olschanowsky is currently a faculty member of the Computer Science Department at Boise State University. She was previously a research professor in the Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering Departments at CSU. Her research area is high performance computing application performance. Dr. Olschanowsky joined the CFD & Propulsion Laboratory in July 2013, and her work involved using the Rose compiler to customize CFD applications to complex computer architectures. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of California at San Diego in the Performance Modeling and Characterization Laboratory. Dr. Olschanowsky also previously worked as a research scientist and software engineer at the San Diego Supercomputer Center.

Cathie is the director of the Application Data flow optimizations with Programming languages and Transformations lab (Adapt) at Boise State University.
