Sole Pera’s work with local startup relEVENTcity was featured in the Idaho Business Review. The article highlights the interest the company has been drawing since winning the Boise Young Professionals’ b|launched competition in May.
Launching a beta version next year of its event-recommending app, this startup has benefited greatly from Pera’s involvement. Introduced to the company after Keynetics director and co-founder Eileen Barber connected her to b|launched mentor Faisal Shah, Pera has been working with relEVENTcity since March. Upon her suggestion, the group answered a call for contributions by the ACM Recommender Systems (RecSys) conference and were chosen to present it during the conference.
Pera attended RecSys as well to present three accepted Boise State computer science posters, support relEVENTcity and together showcase Boise’s industry and academic presence within the recommenders community and the natural interaction that takes place here.
