Program Overview

The Stellar Engineering Students Graduate Program Scholarship is dedicated to providing financial, social, and academic support to MS level engineering students who are searching for a close-knit graduate community in which they will be trained to address the perpetually changing needs of modern society.

Students in this program will participate in community activities, mentoring, and be given the opportunity to work in industry while completing their degree.

Faculty Mentors

  • Arvin Farid Ph.D, P.E.

    Professor

    Dr. Farid is an associate professor at the Civil Engineering Department. He joined the faculty in Civil Engineering at Boise State as an assistant professor in spring 2008. He was an Associate Research Scientist, CenSSIS (Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing and Imaging Systems), Northeastern University, Boston, MA. From 2001-2003 he was a Research Assistant, Civil & Environmental Engineering Dept., Northeastern University (CenSSIS), Boston, MA.
