Daly is president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In 2024, she is a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, the monetary policymaking body of the Federal Reserve System.

Daly assumed leadership of the San Francisco Fed in 2018, building on a distinguished career as a labor economist, policy advisor, and leader. Daly’s extensive research portfolio covers a broad range of topics that are centered on understanding how the economy works for people.
