[toggle title= “Learn about Roger Quarles and the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation”] Roger Quarles came to Idaho in 1992 after launching a successful restaurant chain in California. He then taught high school in Wood River Valley for five years while earning a doctorate from the University of Idaho. Quarles was principal at Kuna High School from 2000-2005 before serving as the assistant superintendent for a year and then superintendent in the Caldwell School District until 2011. He was co-director of Idaho Leads at the Boise State Center for School Improvement for two years and served as Idaho’s chief deputy state superintendent in 2013.
