The COBE Career Services suite was busy Friday, Oct. 7 as Deloitte conducted 32 interviews in one day.
The recent reorganization and expansion of Advising Service to suite 1213, opened up space in suite 1120 for Career Services to have interview rooms available for employers. Bringing employers into the college is a nice convenience for our students.
“We are all so proud of the work that we have done, together, to improve the student experience in the College of Business and Economics here at Boise State University,” says COBE Dean Ken Petersen. “COBE now has fully-staffed Academic Program Advising (1213) and Career Services (1120).”
Deloitte is hiring six full-time and two intern positions in audit and one full-time and on one intern for tax.
Students applied for the Deloitte Boise positions through BroncoJobs and also filled out a Deloitte application. Deloitte recruiters sifted through the 50 or so applicants and selected 32 to be interviewed.
Kelsey White, audit manager at Deloitte did a lot of the set-up for the day of interviews and reviewed resumes.
“I was very impressed with the Boise State candidates. It was an exciting day of interviews.”
White also said she appreciates access to the COBE Career Services facilities.
“It is quite convenient to have five interviews at one time in one location. We plan on being back next year.”
