Josh Filzen Published in Two Journals

Josh Filzen, assistant professor of accountancy, had his projects published in two journals last month.

His first article, “Navigating the Accounting Academic Job Market and Related Advice,” was co-authored with  Jeff Wong and Jason Bergner, both from the University of Nevada, Reno. It was featured in the annual journal, Advances in Accounting Education: Teaching and Curriculum Innovations; this journal publishes articles that explain how teaching methods and programs in accounting can be improved.

Another article from Filzen, “Using Color to Enhance Spreadsheet Accuracy and Usefulness,” was co-authored with Mark Simkin from the University of Nevada, Reno, and was published in the ISACA Journal. The ISACA Journal provides professional development information to those spearheading IT governance and those involved with information systems audit, control and security. This leading industry publication is read by more than 250,000 professionals in more than 160 countries around the world.

These journals are not open access; however, you can go to each website (Advances in Accounting Education or ISACA Journal) to view the table of contents or subscribe to the publications.
