Transferring from an in-state college or university is made easier with transfer agreements and a common core of general education requirements. Look for your school below for specific transfer advice!
In-State Transfer Information by School
The College of Western Idaho and Boise State University have a long-standing partnership that helps make the transfer process seamless. The Boise State Center at CWI offers dedicated staff on the CWI campus and transfer and co-admission assistance to Boise State University. Additional transfer benefits can be accessed by signing up for BroncoConnect. Transfer students can also view articulation agreements for in-state institutions that show how credits transfer to specific majors.
The College of Business and Economics (COBE) extends the partnerships with a fluid transfer of credits. Below are tips to help you continue your business education uninterrupted:
- Know which COBE major you want to pursue. The coursework for a major can start to get specific starting your junior year, and transfer students have little time to decide on a major if they have not researched the options beforehand.
- Complete the Business AA at CWI. You will be considered core certified which fulfills all general education core requirements, and you will have completed nearly all the COBE Pre-Business requirements.
- If you are considering Business and Economic Analytics BS, Economics BA, or Economics, Quantitative Emphasis BA, the Liberal Arts AA at CWI may allow for a more custom approach to your requirements. These three majors have different requirements from the start.
- Be familiar with COBE Admission. Think of COBE Admission as your checkpoint before entering upper-division coursework. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree will complete the COBE Admission process. An advisor will work with you regarding this process, typically at new student orientation.
The table below shows the CWI equivalents to our COBE Gateway Courses. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required in these courses for admission to COBE.
